1. How do I setup a personal Web page?
You would start by setting up an account on this server. Once you have created an account you will be able to post (or store) any web page files you want. You should use a popular HTML editor like Nvu, Dreamweaver, or Frontpage to edit your files.
2. How do I modify or delete my account?
Please contact the FSU Help Desk to create a ticket to have your account modified (including adding MySQL DB, or MS Access DB) or deleted.
3. How do I transfer files to my Web space?
You must use a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) program. Many are free or offer evaulation periods and can be downloaded from http://www.download.com. You must use the following information to connect:
Host Name: personal.frostburg.edu or organizations.frostburg.edu
User Name: Your FSU E-Mail Address (or organization's e-mail address)
Password: Your FSU password (single-sign-on)
4. How do I edit MySQL Database?
You should download software that allows you to manage your database from MySQL, download MySQL Tools.
5. How much space am I allocated?
You are allocated 100Mb of hard disk space for your personal Web account.
6. I get a MySQL Error 1045 when I try to use MySQL Query Browser.
Your username does not include "@frostburg.edu" for MySQL, use the username/password sent in the intial e-mail exactly as it's shown to you.
