I was born in Baltimore, Maryland. I grew up in the small suburban town of Perry Hall, just east of Towson, in Baltimore County. I have lived in Maryland my whole life. Throughout the past couple of years I have travelled various places. I have been to a couple places in Europe including Paris, Rome, Venice and Ireland. I have taken other trips in the U.S. that includes a spring break climbing trip that included climbing and driving to areas in north east Georgia and south west North Carolina. Last spring break (2011) I went on a hiking trip on the Foothills Trail in upstate South Carolina.

I attended Perry Hall High School in Baltimore County. I graduated high school 2008. I decided to come to Frostburg State University because of its small campus environment and its vast opportunities for outdoor recreation. I really liked the idea of small classes after coming from a rather crowded public school environment. After various visits with older friends that were currently attending the school I knew I would love it here. I plan to graduate with my undergraduate degree in Environmental analysis and planning in the winter of 2012.
I am currently studying environmental analysis and planning. I thought the wide range of classes included on the course offerings for the major were definitely a draw. The major includes some biology classes which I thought would benefit whatever I decided to do inside and outside my career. The rest of the course load in the geography department all looked very interesting and relevant to what I would maybe want to do someday. The classes ranged from mapping sciences like GIS and Cartography to physical science classes such as soils and physical geology. Overall the major just seemed to be the best fit for me and has turned out to be even greater than expected.
After graduating I wish to get a job as an environmental planner at some kind of civil engineering firm type company. I wish to work with smaller groups in land development areas. I have worked a construction like job the past couple of summers and really like the work environment. More specifically I believe I would enjoy a job working in some kind of water management engineering company doing storm water management type projects and working to better protect our watersheds. I believe I would like to work out west one day in the Nevada and California area. I think it would be much more exciting working on water management or other planning positions out west in more geologically extreme environment.
