Well I now officially have one final out of the way and only three more to go before I am done for the semester. With hours of studying under my belt and plenty more to go, I am already trying to look ahead. Like an idiot I forgot that every year my parents would handle all of my finances around finals week to get it out of the way before I came home. This year since I am trying to gain financial independence I have taken the responsibility on to myself. Unfortunately I had forgotten about all of the timing issues. For example next friday I will no longer have auto insurance unless I do something about it. I was also informed that my car insurance bill will go up from last year since I had a small accident a couple of months ago. Now on top of all of my school work I have to sift through a mountain of auto insurance quotes. The same goes for my next lease and all of my student loan bills. My parents have always kept up on the interest in June since it turns over in july and I want to try and keep up on that. So all of these things are pressing me to keep away from my usual habit of letting go of all responsibility once I finish my last final. I will have to forgo tradition and try to resist throwing a party this friday. I really need to keep motivated as long as possible before the general malaise of summer sets in and I only care about work. On that note I did in fact by the new Grand Theft Auto and have not stopped playing in every chance I have gotten for a week now. There are people out there struggling with worse on this finals week so I don't feel so bad. I mean it's not like any of my classes are that difficult for me and none of my finals are cumulative. So I just have about five weeks of material to study for. I have to get back to the epic battle between school and video games.
