Okay, so I had been working on getting my own website up and running. I found a company that offered me a deal to make my own website through them and they would help me establish my own domain name and everything. Well, I did that and I got a domain name and began designing my page. Then I began receiving phone calls from companies that started using all these terms that I didn't really understand. They said that if I wanted my website to succeed in a timely manner that I needed to hire a SEO company. I was told that SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and the service that they would provide me would help me to get my web page higher in the rankings of the major search engines more quickly. Apparently they use keywords in each page and then link them with the search engines and this will get your site viewed more frequently. After several conversations with this one particular company, and some serious research online, I decided that for the $1200.00 they wanted to start this process it was going to be a worthwhile investment. I did go ahead and contract them to help me build my site.
Well, I immediately noticed a difference. The number of page viewings was picking up daily and sales gradually started going up. The SEO company had told me that all the things that they were going to do would make a gradual but steady change in the number of people I had trafficking my site, and they were right. I wasn't an overnight success or anything like that but within a few months my sales were really beginning to take off. I began feeling like a real business person, and was actually beginning to make some money.
In short, if you are going to start your own website, then you need to be sure to include in your start up budget money for an SEO company. If you really want to have your business be a success you will need this form of online marketing to get the word out there about your business. Without having this type of company working for you, you will not be able to build a business that will be seen by others. On the internet, that is the most important thing to get the money rolling in. If people don't see it, then even the best idea in the world won't take off.
